Your child's first visit
What to expect, from the front door to the plan you leave with.
How long it takes
About an hour with a therapist. Come a few minutes early to sign in. Younger children do best with a snack and a rest beforehand.
What to wear and bring
Clothes and shoes your child can move in. Bring the plan card, your photo ID and any notes from your pediatrician or school. A water bottle and a favorite toy help.
What happens
Your therapist talks with you, then watches your child play and move. They explain what they see, the options and any risks, and you agree on a plan together. You stay with your child the whole visit.
What is not decided on day one
We do not promise how long care will take. We may ask you to see your pediatrician first if something needs checking.
Play first, questions next
The first visit is mostly play and conversation. Hands-on care and exercise start when you and your therapist agree on them. If a brother, sister or grandparent wants to come, bring them.
